AMERICAN BARBARISM (Part I)

"Dear is in the eyes of the Lord's death his saints." (Psalm 116.15)

In recent days, sad news reached the United States and Germany.
In an action of barbarism, a man went to a Baptist church in Marevellous, Illinois, and began firing at the pastor Fred Winters who was preaching in the cult, killing him and wounding two people. The murderer was arrested by the parishioners who were able to reduce it.
Almost a few days later there was another barbarism in Alabama. A man murderer among relatives of 10 people, men, women and children, made a tour of several sites, after being cornered by police, he committed suicide.
But barbarism also transcend borders. In Germany, a couple of 17 years, emulating other suicide Americans entered the armed institute where I studied and killed 13 students among them teachers, in their flight killed two more people, then engage in shootout with police youth suicide was shot in the head.
These facts, which are not the only ones that occur in the United States or Europe, seem to indicate that there is a culture of murder among the people of the northern hemisphere.
On August 12, 2007 in Neosho, Missouri, a man killed a pastor and two worshipers in the cult. There is a history of mass killings of students in Finland in 2008 and Canada in 2006.
Given these facts, the U.S. government, and evangelical churches have done nothing to achieve reverse this situation, which has been happening since long atrás.
I am Christian and express my indignation and my anger against the American evangelical churches that are enclosed in their spiritual bubbles do not realize the harsh reality is happening around them.
How many more must die pastors to the churches just do something to prevent these deaths? How many young students and children have to die to protect the churches decide deranged people?
The Christian life consists not only make social life, and walks. The Christian life is to do something for our society that is crumbling.
Work is not only the state and its institutions to ensure the safety of society, work is also of the church. If that does not understand the American church then they are at the bottom of the sea to fish and evangelicen. Genuine Christians, perhaps in another country, take charge of evangelizing American society.
Why do not intend to make the church a community united in its campaign to disarm the families who have guns?
Why not start with themselves Christians kept their weapons? For a Christian who wants a gun? To remove the evil spirits?
Do not be surprised if this church worsen with the passage of days.
Still time to prevent future massacres.
Do not make the blood of those holy brethren who gave their lives for the church has been spilled in vain

Do me a favor.... don't post your blog posts as comment on my blog. You have a forum... it's called YOUR blog. I have a forum... and it's called MY blog.

If you would like to post your comments about something that I post... feel free. However... you didn't address anything.... check it... ANYTHING... about my post... and simply did a cut and paste of your latest post.

Thanks for listening... and better yet... thanks for doing as I ask... it's the Christian thing to do.

Since you posted your blog on mine, I thought I would return the favor.

Great day yesterday!

Good response in the services to Jonah and 2nd chances!
After the previous Sunday's awful showing because of the time change, good to see so many in Bible study.
I spent Saturday learning how to judge competition Bar B Q contests with Vince and almost 40 others. Got to eat some really superior chicken and pork!
Less than 2 weeks before our 100th Anniversary gets here. We are down to very specific details that we are getting ironed out. THANK YOU to our committee! They have just done an amazing job of planning this thing.
Speaking of our anniversary, make certain that you have your tickets for the Lunch afterwards. We stop selling them on Sunday the 22nd. It will be your last chance.
Lots of talk about Romans 9 last night and some this morning. One lady compared it to being dropped into algebra class when she was still trying to understand long division. I agree!
Thanks also to all those good people painting, fixing, cleaning and in general getting our buildings to look good. We needed to do some of it and the anniversary gave us the excuse for punching the accelerator.
Our Deacon Chairman is 83 years old today. Bill may be the youngest old guy I know.
I have a new favorite team as of the other day. The New England Patriots signed Joey Galloway. He's a class act... no wonder he wasn't wanted in the new look Bucs.
Speaking of class acts... Baseball starts soon!
After the Anniversary Sunday, Sara and I get to see our daughter's new house!
Our student ministry is doing such a great ministry in thei Share Walking on Sunday night!
By the way, between eating Vince's pulled pork at the Senior Adult Luau and the competition offerings at our Saturday class, 2 things happened: 1. I realized Vince made some outstanding pulled pork; 2. Barb B Q restaurants would be put out of business if everyone tasted the really good stuff!
Scott did a terrific job leading worship in the 10:45 AM service yesterday. I am so thankful for his good work!
For the last 2 and half years, we have been doing a chronological study of the life of Jesus on Wednesday nights. This last week we studied those last few hours of Jesus dying on the cross. It struck me the difference between our Lord saying "My God, why have you forsaken me?" For the first time he addresses God not as Father, but simply as God. We understand that at that moment Jesus had become sin for us so that we could be made the righteousness of God in Him. But then a few moments later, Jesus again speaks to God as Father when He says, "Father, into thy hands, I commit my spirit." I am not sure of all the theological implications for that. But the way the Lord Jesus addressed God struck me.

Here's yesterday's sermon from Jonah!

MAN ON THE RUN
JONAH 1:15-2:10

I was so obsessed with what was going on inside the whale that I missed seeing the drama inside Jonah.
Thomas John Carlisle

WHAT DID HE HAVE TO REPENT OF?

HE HAD DISOBEYED GOD.
HE HAD PUT OTHERS AT RISK.
HE HAD NOT CARED ABOUT THE ETERNAL DESTINY OF OTHER PEOPLE.
HOW DOES JONAH SHOW US REAL REPENTENCE?

IT WASN’T AN IMMEDIATE TURN AROUND. HE WAS THERE FOR 3 DAYS AND NIGHTS BEFORE HE PRAYED.
HE REALIZED HIS SIN HAD SEPARATED HIM FROM GOD. V. 4
HE UNDERSTOOF HIS PROBLEM WAS THE RESULT OF HIS WRONG DOING. V.
HE DETERMINED TO TURN TOWARDS GOD, NOT JUST AWAY FROM HIS SIN. V. 4
HE STATED THAT HE WOULD DO WHAT GOD HAD TOLD HIM. V. 9
WHAT WAS THE RESULT?

FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD
BEING VOMITED OUT OF THE FISH
A SECOND CHANCE TO OBEY.
LESSONS FROM CHAPTER 2

SIN WILL MAKE YOU PAY THE PRICE.
JUST BECAUSE YOU GET RIGHT, DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL STAY RIGHT!
WHEN YOU SIN, COME BACK TO GOD.
o GOD ANSWERS IN SPITE OF OUR SIN.
o GOD ANSWERS US IN SPITE OF HIS JUDGMENT
o GOD ANSWERS AND DELIVERS US BECAUSE OF OUR REPENTANCE
o GOD ANSWERS US IN THE RIGHT TIME
o GOD’S ANSWERS MAY COME IN STAGES, NOT ALL AT ONE TIME.
REAL FREEDOM HAPPENS WHEN WE SUBMIT OURSELVES TO GOD
MATTHEW 12:38-41 - Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, Teacher, we want to see a sign from You." 39 But He answered and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign ; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet; 40 for just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY OF THE SEA MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 "The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.

These comments only reflect the indifference that some church leaders to show the reality of the United States.
A pity for them.
